Stephanie DeKemper is the President of The Meja Group, LLC. She has over 25 years of executive level leadership experience involving Medicaid, managed care, small business development and public policy.
Her work in Medicaid includes health plan operations, government relations and policy analysis, contract and vendor management. She managed daily health plan operations serving over 450,000 members and has consulted on market expansions and program development in Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Nebraska, Georgia, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan and Alabama. She has worked with State Medicaid Agencies and led readiness assessments of managed health entities.
Stephanie is a passionate advocate for the reduction of health disparities. Having worked across political and social service lines she brings a diverse set of experiences to program development and evaluation. She has a unique insight into managed care operational needs and beneficiary attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that is necessary to improving care while reducing cost.
As a founder of the Indiana Minority Health Coalition, established in 1984, she has a long history of working with high risk, special needs populations. She has presented at numerous conferences over her career and was featured in an issue of Modern Healthcare, for the article "Growing the Ranks in Minority Nurses." and has co-authored multiple articles in CorrectCare correctional health magazine.
